Rules for Craps

The good news about Craps online is that they will remain the same rules, are easy to understand and are a lot of fun. The game begins with a pass line betting. You must choose whether you believe the dice will land on a combination 7 or 11 to win (Pass Bet), or lose if they land on a 2, 3, or 12 (Don’t Pass Bet). This is the Shooter’s first roll of dice and it will always be taken.

This round will be over when the total value of the dice is 7 or 11. Also known as neutral, or Craps when the value exceeds 2, 3, or 12. Pass line bettors win the wager if or when the dice land on 7 and 11. Pass bettors will not win if the dice hits 2, 3, or 12.

If the two dice’s value is a 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9, then the number becomes “Point”. The next stage of Craps starts and the table is activated. So players can better follow the game and get additional bets, the dealer must place a puck at the point number.

The shooter will then roll two more dice and continue the process until the shooter rolls either a 7 or the number. Once the point number is reached, the game is over. If the shooter scores a point, they will continue to be the shooter. But, if they get a 7, they will become a new craps shooter.

Layout for Craps Table

Understanding how Craps works is an important part of learning how you can play it. You won’t be able to make the most of the different types of bets available if you don’t first study the table. This will limit your chances of winning.

A craps table can have two sides and the same pattern. Although you play the same game on both sides, the table has been designed to allow you to play on only one side of the table. When the game becomes busy, however, it is possible for two dealers to manage the bets. The following are the members of the table:

  • Pass Line – If you believe that the shooter will land an 11 or 7 then you can place your bets right here.
  • Don’t Pass Bar – You can also place your bets in this Don’t Pass Bar if you think it will go to a 2, 3, or 12
  • The Field – You can place bets here if the dice rolls a 3, 4, 9, 10, 10 or 11 in one roll (known by The Field bet).
  • Big Six and Big Eight are the most common bets at the craps table. Place your bets here, if you believe that the shooter will roll a 6, 8 or 7, before a 7.
  • Come & Don’t Come – These bets can be made immediately after the Pass Line bet. You can place chips in the Come box if the shooter is likely to land a 7- or 11 on their next roll. You can also place chips in the Don’t Come box if your shooter is likely to roll a 2 or 3.
  • The Place – This is a fast-paced wager. You can bet on the shooter hitting a 4, 5, 6, 8 or 9 before a 7. You can place this bet at any moment!
  • Centre – Finally, you can add proposition bets to this section. You can find out more about these options below.

You will play the same Craps rules regardless of the appearance of the tables.

Craps Bets

Pass Line Bet & Don’t Pass Bet

This is the only way to play Craps. A pass line bet is when you wager that the shooter will roll a combination of 7 or 11, before they roll a 2, 3, or 12!

You can flip this and find the opposite bet, a Don’t Pass Bet. This bet is that the shooter will score a 2, 3 or 7 before scoring a 7. Easy, right? If the total dice roll results in a 12 the dealer will return your cash. This is called a Push.

Don’t Bet, Come Bet

After a Point number (4,5, 6, 8, 9, 9 or 10) is rolled, you can place this bet. A Come Bet is available if the shooter places a 7 or 11 prior to the point number. If you are certain that the shooter will land a number other than a 7 or 11, you can place a Don’t Come Bet.
